Clicking Store Setup>Automated Gift Cards displays an empty Gift Card Campaign page, if you do not have a gift card campaign yet. Otherwise, you will see a list of all your gift card campaigns.
To start adding your first gift card campaign, see To Add Your First Gift Card Campaign.
To start adding another gift card campaign, see To Add More Gift Card Campaigns.
To Add Your First Gift Card Campaign###
- On the Automated Gift Card Campaigns page, click the Add a Campaign button at the bottom.
- On the Add automated gift card campaign page, enter a campaign name.
- Enter a value for the gift card. This can be either a set value or a percentage of the total order amount. If the latter, you may set a maximum value for the gift card.
- Set a trigger, or availability, for the gift card campaign. By default, the campaign is applicable to all products or orders. Skip to Step 10.
To make it applicable to specific products only, go to Step 5.
To make it applicable to products based on a condition or set of conditions, skip to Step 6.
- Select the Manually add products option, then click Add products. Skip to Step 7.
- Select the Products based on conditions option, then click Add another condition. Skip to Step 8.
- On the Add products box, the last 30 products added to your store are listed. To add a product to which the gift card will be applicable, check the icon on the right. You may add as many products as you want. Skip to Step 10.
- Add a condition based on a product or collection title, adding as many conditions as you want. Go to Step 9.
- Select either Match one condition or Product must match all conditions.
- Enter either a set number of days or a specific date as the gift card's expiry date.
- Set the per user frequency cap by entering the number of gift cards that can be issued per customer order within a specified time frame.
- Enter the email subject line and the message to be sent to gift card recipients. To paste the default message, click the Paste default message link right next to the Message caption.
- Click Publish to save the record and make the campaign immediately available to customers.
To Add More Gift Card Campaigns###
The steps for adding more gift cards to your store are essentially the same as the steps for adding your first gift card campaign (see To Add Your First Gift Card Campaign), except that you click the Add a new campaign button on the top right of the Automated gift card campaigns page.
Searching for a Gift Card Campaign
By default, the Automated gift card campaigns page displays all your gift card campaigns, which are sorted by descending order, with the latest product entered showing first. You can search for a particular gift card campaign by name, and save the search as well, for convenient running the next time you need it.

- On your Admin panel, click Store setup>Automated Gift Cards.
- Click the Automated gift card campaigns link at the top.
- Enter the campaign name, then click Refine View. The gift card campaign is then displayed on the screen.
To Save a Search###
- Search for a gift card campaign (see To Search for a Gift Card Campaign).
- Click Save View to add the search to your saved views.
To Run a Saved Search###
- On your Admin panel, click Store setup>Automated Gift Cards.
- Click the Automated gift card campaigns link at the top.
- Click the saved search from your list of saved views.
Viewing a Gift Card Campaign's Statistics
To know how successful a gift card campaign is, you can view the number of issued, used, and outstanding gift cards from the campaign.
- On your Admin panel, click Store setup>Automated Gift Cards.
- On the Automated gift card campaigns page, click the gift card campaign.
- On the Campaign details page, the total number and value of issued, used, and outstanding gift cards from the start of the campaign until the current date is shown. You may change the dates covered by the statistics if you want.
Editing a Gift Card Campaign
- On your Admin panel, click Store setup>Automated Gift Cards.
- On the Automated gift card campaigns page, click the gift card campaign.
- On the Campaign details page, click Edit Settings.
- Make your changes to the gift card campaign, then click Save.
Enabling a Gift Card Campaign
When you click Save as draft after creating a gift card campaign, the campaign is saved but is not displayed on your store; in short, it is disabled.
Disabled gift card campaigns can be enabled once you are ready to start the campaign.

- On your Admin panel, click Store setup>Automated Gift Cards.
- On the Automated gift card campaigns page, click the gift card campaign.
- On the Campaign details page, notice that the button to the right of the campaign name is turned off, which means that the campaign is disabled. Click the button to turn it on and enable the campaign.
- Click the Close, or X, icon on the top right to close the Campaign details page.
Alternatively, you can enable a disabled gift card campaign by clicking Edit Settings, then clicking Publish on the Edit gift card campaign page. This is particularly useful if you want to review the settings first before enabling the campaign.
To Enable Multiple Disabled Gift Card Campaigns###
- On your Admin panel, click Store setup>Automated Gift Cards.
- On the Automated gift card campaigns page, check the boxes to the left of the gift card campaigns to be enabled. To select all campaigns, check the box on the topmost right.
- Click the Action box on the top right, then click Enable.
Disabling a Gift Card Campaign
When you click Publish after creating a gift card campaign (see To Add Your First Gift Card Campaign), the campaign is immediately made available, or enabled, on your store.
Enabled gift card campaigns can be disabled when you no longer need them. Disabling a campaign sets it aside for future use.

- On the Automated gift card campaigns page, click the gift card campaign.

Deleting a Gift Card Campaign
If you are certain you no longer need a gift card campaign in the future, instead of disabling the campaign, you might want to delete it instead.
