Managing Shipping Rates and Zones
Shipping rates for your products are set up from Store setup>Shipping on your Admin panel. These are entered via so-called shipping zones, and displayed to your customer during checkout.
Aside from a default shipping rate, you can add rule-based exceptions and additional shipping options to your shipping zones. In lieu of the default rate, exceptions are automatically applied whenever its rules apply to an order. On the other hand, additional shipping options are available for selection by the customer during checkout, and may be added to the default rate or a rule-based exception, whichever is applicable.
Adding a Shipping Zone
Shipping zones refer to the areas or countries to which you shipped your products. The typical shipping zone may be a country, e.g. United States; an area covering one country, e.g. West Coast or East Coast in the USA; or an area covering several countries, e.g. Europe. In the case of the latter, the zone might include the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, for example.
Each zone has its own shipping rates. You may add as many shipping zones as you want.

To Add a New Shipping Zone

- On the Shipping Prices page, click Add a new zone.
- On the New Zone box, enter a name for the zone. This is for internal purposes only, and will not be shown to your customers.

Countries with Pre-Selected States/Regions/Areas/
Certain countries, when selected from the list, will also display a box below with their known geographical divisions. These countries include Australia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and the United States. From this second box, you can further select the areas you shipped to from within these countries.
- Enter the zone's default service description, for example, Fast 4-5 Business Day Shipping. This is visible to your customers.
- To set up rule-based exceptions to the default shipping rate, click Add an exception. For example, if your shipping rate for orders worth $50 and above is lower than your usual shipping rate, you may add an exception based on the lower rate. For more details on adding rule-based exceptions to your zone, see To Add a Rule-Based Exception to a Zone.
- To add additional shipping options for your customers, click Add a service. For example, instead of your usual 4-5 Business Day Shipping, you might want to give your customers the option to avail of Overnight Shipping for an additional $30. For more details on adding additional shipping options to your zone, see To Add Additional Shipping Options to a Zone.
- Click Save.
To Add a Rule-Based Exception to a Zone
When adding or editing a shipping zone (see To Add a New Shipping Zone), rule-based exceptions can be added to the zone. For example, if your shipping rate for orders worth $50 and above is lower than your usual shipping rate, you may add an exception based on the lower rate. Rule-based exceptions are automatically applied in lieu of the default shipping rate and displayed on the customer's shopping cart during checkout. You may enter as many rule-based exceptions as you want.
- On the New Zone box, click Add an exception.
- On the box that appears, select a rule type, then enter the range of values and the rate for the exception. The available rule types are product weight, items in cart, or order total.
- Enter a shipping service description for the exception. Like all shipping service descriptions, this is visible to your customers.
- To enter more rule-based exceptions for the zone, repeat Steps 1-3.
To Add Shipping Options to a Zone
When adding or editing a shipping zone (see To Add a New Shipping Zone), you may add shipping options for your customers. This option is then available to your customers during checkout. You may enter as many additional shipping options as you want.
- On the New Zone box, click Add a service.
- On the box that appears, enter the service description and the cost of the additional shipping option. Both the service description and the cost are visible to your customers.
- To add more shipping options, repeat Steps 1-2.
